The iconic Freehold Raceway announced its closure back in September, and its final race took place on December 28. The closing of this racetrack marks an end in history for not only the town but the entire country, as it’s the oldest racetrack in America. So now, horsemen and trainers are scrambling to figure out what to do with their horses and how they’ll make ends meet come the new year.
